Radical Listening | Caroline Bainbridge and Karen Cross | Webinar

The Topic

In this webinar, Caro Bainbridge and Karen Cross invite you to reflect with them on the power of listening. Listening is so crucial in the work of coaching: what happens when we strive to take a radical approach? Can the practice of radical listening disrupt dynamics and create new perspectives on experience and possibility? Listening is the key to attunement and to understanding what lies beneath the surface of both whatever is voiced and that which is left unspoken and yet tangible in the coaching encounter.

We invite you to explore some aspects of radical listening in this session, and to reflect on and respond to the experience that we co-create together.

The Agenda

In the first half of the webinar, Caro and Karen will deliver a seminar.

In the second half, we'll move into a reflection-application session:

- 'Composting': experienced peers work the material in small groups to sprout new ideas;

- 'Weaving': attendees gather to collectively reflect and question, weaving our experiences together;

- Discuss how we will apply learnings to our personal practice in Reflection Application Pairs (RAPs).

The Speakers

Caro Bainbridge, PhD and Karen Cross, PhD are the founders of MiNDings, a consultancy service grounded in depth psychology, group dynamics, social and cultural insights, and co-creative transformational and leadership processes. Between them, they have more than 40 years’ experience as academic researchers working on the relationship between psychoanalysis and emotion, media, identity, politics, and culture, and they are both published widely in this field. In their new endeavour, they are curious to explore the intersections of the mind and emotions with living in a highly mediated age. The bring a co-creative style to all their work, aiming to open up spaces in which to think together about today’s complex challenges.

If you purchase a ticket but can't make it in real-time, a recording will be shared with you after the webinar.
